Empty Nest

I has been about 2 months since my baby moved out. She is haveing the time of her life at EKU. Kenny's and my alma mater! She has pledged Pi Beta Phi and is active in CRU as well as keeping her grades up. I couldn't be more proud. David is loving living in an apartment and doing great at UK. I cant believe how grown up he has gotten. He is still dating Renee, almost 3 years now. I am expecting him sot be ring shopping. I am so not old enough for that! Kenny has 6 more weeks in Mississippi and then he is home! He will still have to business trip down south but at least he will be home on the weekends.
My "empty nest project" is almost complete. We got a whole new kitchen! painted the living room and hall as well. working on a floor in the little bath and renovated the master bath and painting the master bedroom. I love this new phase in my life but ready for Kenny to be at home to share it with me!

New Year 2011

I just realised how long it has been since I posted on this blog, 2010 flew by and was a great year. I will update that soon.
Kenny has moved to mississippi for a year to start the new toyota plant. It is really wierd to be a 'single" mom this year. I am really enjoying the time Kristina and I are spending together. She is such a remarkable young lady and I praise God for how well she has grown up!
David is back as school and loving UK, he just signed a lease on a apartment so he wont be moving back - at least for a while. totally wierd to say that and kind of bitter sweet.
Kristina and I are heading down to Mississippi today so I will post some pics. We plan to spend a day in memphis.

Prom 09

David took his girlfriend Renee to dunbar prom on May 8 and then they went to Lafayette Prom on May 9th.

She is the cutest thing and they both had a blast.

They went with a big group in a white limo to the Dunbar one, it was downtown at the old Raddison.

Redneck and Proud

Kenny is taking Kristina to the Grechen Wilson concert at the Toyota Perfect atendance banquet. As they were leaving I took this shot of the two of them. She is so happy to be with her daddy. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who knows how important it is to have time with his little girl.

Spring Break

The kids are in Panama City florida for spring break, The went to a rescue mission to help out on tuesday. this is david chopping up old couches.
Meanwhile Kenny and I got to stay home and redo David's room. I have decided I really hate sanding drywall!

March Mania and taxes.

You know it is March in KY when your husband buys a new computer and sets it up in the living room just so he can finish the taxes while watching basketball!
We had the worse thing happen to my computer crazy family, our main computer crashed! While to most people that would be okay for us it was a nightmare, we were down to 4 people and one lap top. not good! so we went to sam's and bought a new computer. David hooked it all up in the living room so Kenny could finish the taxes. It has the new vista stuff on itand is all wireles, David has had to reteach us all how to use it. The good thing is we can now all get to our brackets. The taxes, well, we will get those at halftime!
Kenny also found the part to fix the other computer so soon we will all three up and running. Welcome to geek heaven, other wise known as the Basham House.

Snow

That pretty much sums up how my weekend is going to go. Of course as of 3:30 on friday we have only gotten a light covering of snow. According to Bill Meck, Wlex-tv forcaster and Snow Maniac, the worse is yet to come.

here is a picture of my Neice and Nephew in thier snowstorm earlier this week, they got 8 inches and it was gone the next day.
